Recommended Routes

Route 1: In Germany, take the ferry from Rostock to Trelleborg (Sweden). Then continue towards Malmö, then Gothenburg, Oslo, and from there take the E6 to Trondheim. Turn onto road no. 20 at Elverum, then road no. 3 Elverum–Ulsberg, and continue on the E6 to Berkåk. At Berkåk, turn onto road no. 700 towards Orkanger and continue to Fanrem, where you turn onto the E39 towards Kyrksæterøra and then Aure. Just before a place called Vean (large car service centre), turn right towards Lesundet, cross the bridge, turn left and continue straight until you see the turning for Svinvik — you are almost there. The journey from Trelleborg to the Norwegian paradise takes 14–16 hours.

Route 2: In Germany, take the ferry from Rostock to Trelleborg (Sweden). Then continue towards Malmö, then Gothenburg, Uddevalla. From there, take road no. 172 to Årjäng, then road no. 177 to Åmotfors, then road no. 61 towards Magnor (border crossing into Norway), then road no. 2 to Kongsvinger, then no. 20 to Elverum, and from there continue on the E6 to Berkåk. At Berkåk, turn onto road no. 700 towards Orkanger and continue to Fanrem, where you turn onto the E39 towards Kyrksæterøra and then Aure.
