Fishing

The area is known, among other things, for the diversity of fish species found in its waters. You can fish from the jetty in front of the apartments when the weather is too windy, or out in the fjords among the many islands towards the town of Aure or Kjørsvikbugen. The open sea opposite the islands of Hitra and Smøla offers excellent fishing conditions due to its varied seabed. You can also enjoy freshwater fishing in the local lakes.

Each apartment has its own boat with a four-stroke engine. All engines are fuel-efficient. Each boat is equipped with an echo locator, multiple language software, an up-to-date nautical chart, and a top-of-the-range Garmin sonar. Each boat carries a sufficient number of life jackets, which are mandatory for sea fishing.

Fishing equipment is available for hire on request — both electric reels and traditional ones. Please enquire about rental terms in advance.

Please note that all fuel for the boats is supplied by the site manager; using your own fuel is not permitted.

You can process your catch comfortably and regardless of the weather in the spacious covered filleting room. A changing room and drying room are available for anglers and their wet clothing. We are sure you will also appreciate the large-capacity freezer room, which allows you to store your catch directly in polystyrene boxes, saving a considerable amount of space.
